Day 3...

Today is the day that we meet our son!  We are over the moon excited!  We have anticipated this day for so long and it seems like a dream that it's actually here.  I don't think I slept at all...like a kid on Christmas Eve!  We woke up to another super gray day in Hangzhou and headed down for some breakfast.

this girl is about to be a BIG sister!  EEEK!
and this guy is getting his boy!
After breakfast it was time to get ready!  Gerry picked us up to take us to the Civil Service office to do paperwork and then meet our son!
last elevator selfie as a family of 4!
Ryne was giving Reese a little pep talk during the drive to the Civil Service Office.  I adore these sweet sisters!

So while I was in the middle of paperwork...this adorable little guy walked in!  The girls were totally into their Ipads and didn't notice for a second!  I think it's so cute how he is checking them out though!

So, I immediately started crying!  Then he started crying!  He actually wanted nothing to do with us...but would get close enough to grab some puffs!

We tried to give him space but it was so hard because we just wanted to love on him!

Jeter's Ayi was so sweet.  She answered questions and acted like I wasn't a blubbering mess.  The language barrier may have had something to do with it too!  ;)

Once his Ayi and the Orphanage Director left...he let me hold him!
My three kids!
First family of 5 picture!
The two Francis boys!
After finishing paperwork, we headed to the car.  Poor Jeter was so quiet and I'm sure scared.

We left there and headed to Wal-Mart!  We needed to get the type of formula that Jeter was use to as well as some stuff to take to the orphanage.

Back in the car and headed to the hotel. Ryne was dying to hold him!
Reese wanted a turn too!
We went back to the room to drop off stuff and to change Jeter.  It was around 90 degrees and he was in a long sleeve shirt, sweatpants, and a sweatshirt!  He felt much better in some shorts and light shirt!

After changing him we met back up with Gerry and walked to take a picture of Jeremy, Jeter, and me to be used for the certificate the next day. We also had to stop by a bank to exchange USD for RMB to give to the orphanage the next day.  Then we grabbed lunch from a little hole in the wall.  There were seriously like 3 "tables"...but the food was really good!
Jeter was chowing down!  He ate some of everyone's food.  He didn't stop eating until we were walking away and even then I had to give him crackers to keep munching on.

After lunch we went back to the hotel to see in Jeter wanted to nap.  We snuggled up with him and he just stared at us.  I can't even begin to understand what he was thinking.  His entire world changed in just a couple of hours.

It didn't take long for him to fall asleep.  While he slept, Jeremy took Ryne and Reese to swim.
After Jeter's nap and their swim, we just hung out until heading to eat dinner at the hotel.

Reese was extremely tired and emotional during dinner, so we ate quickly and called it a night early. (7:30p). Jet-lag was beginning to set in.  By the end of the day, we felt like we were beginning to connect with Jeter (as much as possible) and bedtime was actually way easier than I ever imagined! He fell asleep quickly and slept between us, he wanted nothing to do with his pack-n-play!

jetlag is rough!
All in all it was an amazing first day with our son!  He is such an amazing little guy and we are thrilled to call him ours!
